How to register? to edit your profile? to post messages ?

How to register
As you can see, this forum is mostly in french, so here is the translation step by step for registering. It takes only a few minutes.

1/ for register you have to click on "s'enregistrer" on top

2/ then you have the rules of Forumactif. I couln't translate it yet. If you are agree click on "J’accepte le règlement" at the bottom

3/ now it ask you three things.
Nom d’utilisateur : the name that would you use on the board ( not your real name )
Adresse e-mail : your e-mail address
Mot de passe : and your secret password
next screen said "Confirmer le mot de passe" you have to put your password again.
clik on "enregistrer" each time

4/ the next screen says:
Your account is just created. Your account must be activated, we send an activation key to your e-mail address. Please check the e-mail for more details.
If you use an hotmail-like system, check if the e-mail is not in the spam list.

5/ next you recive the e-mail.

6/ Now you could go on the forum.
The last stage is to click on "connexion" on top.
and write your name and password.
If you check "Connexion automatique" you don't have to write your name and password each time.

How to edit your profile

on top you have different pages :
Informations | Préférences | Signature | Avatar | Sujets surveillés
We will detail it step by step

Informations

1/ click to "profil" on top
First you have your name and e-mail address.
Next you have the password.
Nouveau mot de passe : is for changing the password if you want
so if you change the password you have to write it again in "Confirmer le mot de passe".

2/ then you could put some link or e-mails that the other members could read.
ICQ Number - AIM Address - MSN Messenger - Yahoo Messenger - Skype - Your website URL

3/
Localisation means where do you live?
Emploi is for telling about your job
Loisirs are your leisure activities
Sexe : check Masculin if you are a boy or Féminin if you are a girl
( please check nothing if you don't know it ( yet ) )
Date de naissance is your birth date. You could enter the day, the mounth and the year in boxes.

( then click on "enregitrer" if you are ok )

Préférences

here I just make a translation line by line

Allow the others member to contact me : by form - by e-mail soft - no
Hide your presence online : yes - no
Send me an e-mail when someone answer to a theard that I have participate in : yes - no
Call me when I got private messages : yes - no
Call me when I got private messages from a mailing ( an e-mail send by the adminstrator or the moderators ) : yes - no - no private messages at all
Open private messages by pop-up : yes - no
Open a pop-up for new reports : yes - no
Call me if a new report is posted : yes - no
Always attach my signature : yes - no
Always allow the BBCode : yes - no
Always allow the HTML : yes - no
Activate Smilies : yes - no
Language of the Forum : you could select English here
Time Zone : you could select the time of your country
Way of displaying the date : you could select it too

Signature

In the fist box you have the preview of your signature.

The second box is to make or edit your signature.

gras is for bold type
itlal. is for italics
soulig. is for underline
image is to put a picture
lien is to make a link
and flash is to show a flash object

signature d'origine : bring back your old signature
prévisualisation : to preview
enregistrer : if you are ok
retour au profil : back to the profile


Avatar

first you have a preview of the picture.
It could not be biggest than 150x200 pixels / 32ko

If you check Supprimer l’Image, you will erase the picture

Envoyer l’Avatar depuis votre ordinateur : send a picture from your computer
Envoyer l’Avatar à partir d’une URL : send a picture from an internet link and put it in the forum
Lier l’Avatar à partir d’un autre site : link a picture from a website
Sélectionner un Avatar à partir de la Galerie : take a picture in the gallery


enregistrer : ok
réinitialiser : erase and start again

Here are the theard you watch.

How to send messages

Click on "nouveau" to create a new message
or "repondre" to reply to another one

on top you have some options :

gras is for bold type
itlal. is for italics
soulig. is for underline
barré is to cross out the words
spoiler is to spoil
insérer une image is to put a picture
citer is to quote
code is to put computing codes
liste is to make a list
image is to put a picture
lien is to make a link
défiler is to scroll the text
center is to write in the middle
droite is to write at the right

couleur is to colorise and taille is to check the size of the letters


on left you could choose some smilies.
If you click on the little arrow next to "voir plus de smilies" you could choose more.


When the text is written, you could click on "prévisualisation" to preview and/or "envoyer" to send.

In right top corner the option "citer" serves to quote the posts of other members and "éditer" serves to edit your post. The cross X is here if you want to delete the message.
