Trashgore

Trashgore :
Artistic movement of the XXIst century including music, poetry and painting. The inspiration is taken from other movements of the previous centuries like : romanticism, dada, surrealism, blues, concrete music, punk and the other things that have been derived from, even if sometimes these movements are unconnected or opposed.
In so far the Trashgore doesn't take up all of the characteristics of these movements.
The denomination "trashgore" refers only to the arts and to the artists making trashgore music, poetry or painting.
Trashgore has the role to solicit imagination and creativity.
Even if people could think the contrary, trashgore is a moderate movement.



Music
Musical trashgore is in the straight line of punk and grunge, with a dose of concrete music. All the rules of rhythm, melody and harmony are excluded. It is mostly like Outsider art, with huge energy. This music integrates noisy components. It could also be the best place to make experimentations. Musical trashgore makes a clean sweep of all the classical rules that have survived through time and styles changes.
This music could not be included in high culture music, neither in popular music. The main elements are : screams, onomatopoeias, detuned guitars awkwardly played, out of rythm drums, and a paramount larsen ( considered as equal as a real note ) ; bass is substituted by a humming noise.


Poetry
Contrary to music, Trashgore poetry respects the classical rules but it is not forbidden to innovate.
When the form is chosen, the pattern must be respected ( length of the feet; number of rhymes, and rimes ).
The difference with non-trashgore poems comes first from the vocabulary and the atmosphere. Trashgore poems are written in a correct language without onomatopoeias, abbreviations or acronyms.
Behind theses conformists rules, the Trashgore poetry is subversive in its sense. Indeed, some taboo motifs, like death, are addressed in utter destitution, crudely and surgically, in a dark and oppressing atmosphere.
Poles apart from politically correct and the rules of propriety, chosen words are always those that provokate the greatest disgust.
The poems are a kind of short-run outlet at the sorrow, the drive and the suffering.



Painting
This is a kind of raw art where the painter express his drive of instant in a quasi reflex action way. It consists in applying painting in an anarchical way. The aim of trashgore painting is to destroy painting itself and the traditional idea of beauty.
Against fine arts, art schools, and every kind of aestheticism and conformity, the traditionnal fences beetween figural, abstract art and surrealism are totaly outdated by the new way above opened by trashgore.
The support could be made of salvaged materials of poor quality. Pencils or paintbrushes could be the victims during the picture's development. It is also possible to use the body as a painting utensil.
The radiate energy is translated by anarchical gestures leading to the mistreatement of the material.
The picture itself coud be the prey of fire, wrenches, violent throwings; and being drag along the floor and/or savagely trampled on ( burns, breaks... ) . The main colors are red and black, to refer to death and hopelessness. However, the more improbable associations of colors are used.
